Our History
From One Warm Meal to a Movement of Compassion
In the spring of 2004, on the streets of Northern Virginia, a small act of love gave birth to what would become Good Spoon Mission. A bowl of soup offered to a Latino day laborer was not just food—it was a message: "You are seen. You are loved. God has not forgotten you." From that humble beginning, we launched weekly street feeding services and began reaching out to the marginalized, the homeless, and immigrant communities. Soon, God opened doors beyond food—leading us into medical missions, legal aid, education, and spiritual discipleship. Our mission was never just charity. It was always about restoring dignity and proclaiming the Gospel.
